Once magnificient, now stranded beneath and between — reaching eternally
Their silence stood amongst the scent of rain where the comfort of walls once resided
God cried, filling the only walk-able path with an inescapable torrent
THE tempest carries a dying voice across the heavens, “There is no turning back as nothing remains”
it was evident that the pillars could no longer support the weight of heaven, and everything crumbled
“If we run fast enough, I still think we can reach the sky”
In that moment, we knew this sea stretched until the edges of time
would we give our lives to the vastness or be taken by the swells?
Even if that is an island, could we make the swim?
They stood teetering on the edge of all that remained
Is this it?
